Believe me when I say you haven't lived until you've gone to an Internet SIG meeting. Always lively, always a pulse on the internet and all things related. Bill Pryor is an incredibly knowledgeable, gregarious guy who makes everyone feel at ease no matter what their level of computing is. This is one stop on the LVCG circuit you shouldn't miss!

Bill Pryor demoed Xara 3D (see samples above-I was inspired!) + Cool Edit 96 for sound wave manufacturing and Corel Draw! We had some PC speakers for sale, a great lesson on directional sound and understanding positional speaker sound with Vince Heller, plus a sample of digital photography (these pics) viewed with Windows XP Pro. Phew!

These digital pictures are courtesy of Fran Pryor with a Sony Mavica digital camera and Jan McIntosh with an Olympus C-700 digital camera.

You should have been here!!!

Where else can you find a tip like using roof cement to...well,er ...oh, never mind. It would take too long to explain. Not something you should try at home without a visual lesson anyway.

Members enjoy the comfort of the Lanta Bus meeting room. The Hilton has nothing on this place!

It was a zoo here tonight!

Babette loses an earring!

If you are tired of re-formatting floppies the conventional way, Bill shows us his galactic fuctionality paste-

formats in 1.44 MB per second!

And hello Bill!

None other than...Mr. Val

This pipe fed the Beatles 'Norwegian Wood' one wav at a time-blew it right on the screen and then we heard it!!! I swear we did! Cool Edit is AMAZING!

"Florian, now Bill's gluing the laptop lid. Mmmmm."

Let's just say this is one cool geek! :)

The Olympus C-700 digital camera also takes Quicktime format movies. Really snippets with a few stills hooked together. Not the best image quality but with sound!

Here are two samples from the Internet SIG meeting tonight. You will need QuickTime Player to watch these. Get it here. (FREE)

WARNING: long download on a 56K modem

After hearing you had problems downloading the .mov files, I now have them zipped. Let's try again! Save to disk...find a place on your hard drive.

You'll still need QuickTime to view them.

Cuttin' Out.zip 4 MB

Puttin' It Together.zip 3.9 MB
